Roz loves people! She enjoys making people feel welcomed, heard and appreciated and music is her super-power. Born in Georgetown, Guyana and raised in Jersey, Roz has developed her own unique sound and style called "Reggae Soul Music."  With it she delivers creatively fresh lyrics and a captivating performance that inspires her audience.  "I grew up singing in church choirs and  listening to music while cleaning the house on Saturday mornings, but I didn't know singing would become the passion that it is today!" Inspired by the sounds of The Rhythm and Praise Party, a radio show hosted by dj  P.DOGG, Roz learned to memorize lyrics as she listened each week to artists like Flame, da Truth, Lecrae and many others. It wasn't long after when she began to co-host a similar radio show. Hosting the show deepened her love for the music, the people and for God. 

" 'The Takeover' was the name of our show and that's exactly what we did! It was a good time. We would get in the studio and basically takeover the airwaves with all our favorite songs and the people were tuned in and loving it!"
Not knowing that she would one day be a featured artist on the Takeover, Roz made her debute on Derek Minor's Redemption album with a feature on the song "Blow my mind." 

It was during the recording of that song where she recognized her passion and gift of singing! Shortly after, through a friends' encouragement, Roz began to write her own songs. Her diligence in writing has since earned her such awards as Artist Writer of the year at the annual GMA Immerse Conference and as her passion continues to grow, Roz writes and performs her music both nationally and internationally. Her most recent co-writes and vocal features can be heard on Derek Minor's "Empire" on the Songs Stranger and Bable Two. She's also performed at several notable venues nationwide including the New Daisy Theater of Memphis, TN, Detroit's Mack & Third Live and Buffalo New York's Kingdom Bound Music Festival.

 

Roz has also performed in the Philippines and her recent tour with artist Mahogany Jones took her to the African countries of Zambia, Botswana, Uganda, Rwanda, and Ethiopia.  Most recently she released a kids album through her church and after working on Empire, Roz Remixed the song Stranger for her first solo release. A current resident and lover of Nashville, Roz enjoys collaborating with other local artists. She also enjoys serving her local community by investing in the lives of young women and leading Kids Worship at her church.
